Inspired Read: Spiritual Maturity by J. Oswald Sanders
Since I was a little girl, I only wanted to be two things: a fashion designer or a lawyer. While I still have a passion for fashion, I found that the law has superseded that. Now that I have graduated from university, I am one step closer to fulfilling a dream I have always had. I am going to law school! I will be attending the University of Houston Law School this fall. Go Coogs! This will be an exciting experience and I want to bring y’all along for the journey.
When I first started my blog I was in high school writing about how I wanted to go to law school and change the world. Now I am about to enter law school. This feels like such a full-circle moment. I am so excited to see where this new season takes me. It has been super bittersweet to pack my belongings and share my goodbyes with my friends. However, I have been trying to remain excited about the fact that I will be making new friends and finding a new church.

Here are some things I will be doing this summer to prepare for law school.
Relaxing
This is my first free summer! Every summer I have done a program, internship, class, or tutoring program. This summer I am looking to relax and fully enjoy the experience. This summer I am not a student, I am just a regular 21-year-old. I want to practice stillness and waiting on the Lord. I also want to spend time with my friends and participate in summer activities. I am someone who appreciates structure in my life but I am super excited to finish this summer well and relaxed. Having as much fun as possible and not concerned with deadlines and early mornings.
Law School Prep
I must begin prepping my home, building a business casual wardrobe, and getting some school supplies. I get to create my own office space and get my materials early. It's fun to find a new space and make it mine. If you want to help me or feel led to give, check out my Amazon list of some school supplies and things I need for school! https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1DN8DWYG87U2E?ref_=wl_share
Make New Friends
Going back to school again will be very interesting, it has been a long time since I have been in an entirely new environment. I want to reach out to people on social media, be active in our GroupMe, and make many friends. I am also looking to join a new small group and be active in a young adult community. I think this will help me dig some roots and make Houston my home again.
Creating Memories
My closest friends are here in San Antonio, I would consider them family. I know I will be leaving and life will move on but I want to create lasting memories and deepen my friendships here. I expect these friendships to last for a lifetime and I want to continue to cultivate them. We created a summer bucket list and have been slowly ticking some things off. It has been sweet to try new things with my friends and I plan to continue and complete the list.
As my time in San Antonio comes to a close, I am looking forward to Houston and law school! I have already made a couple of friends and tried some new places. It is a blessing to have this opportunity and I am excited to see how the Lord moves in this next semester.
