I am so happy to celebrate another year of joy and laughter with my family and friends. Each year is a blessing from the Lord and 2021 was filled with good memories and growth. You may have noticed some changes to the website, during the break we underwent some major reconstruction. As I have aged the site did not accurately describe who I am currently but instead a younger version of me. So I am super excited to launch this site with this new post.

As we begin 2022 it is imperative to set goals that keep me on track and accountable. I would love to share them with you so we can all think about what the Lord has planned for us this year and how we will achieve them. Personally, 2022 will be a crazy year for me as I plan my graduation plans and prepare for life after college. Thank you all for coming along with me on my journey thus far and being here to share in the successes and failures.

1. Improve my prayer life

Prayer is a key way in which we speak to the Father. This year I want to grow in my prayer life more in maintaining a constant connection to God. While I can always abide in His presence I want to talk to Him more and listen to what He speaks.

2. Make new friends and Deepen existing friendships

2021 gave me the opportunity to make many new friends. In 2022, I want to expand my horizons and meet new friends. I can do this by joining more clubs and organizations but also by being open and honest with the people I am around. In my current friendships, this year I will focus on finding new ways to deepen them. That can be through meaningful conversation, quality time, and prayer. I cherish each person the Lord has put in my life and want to view them all the way God does.

3. Prepare to take my LSAT

I am planning on going to law school after graduating from UTSA. In 2022, I will begin studying for the LSAT so I can take it in the fall. This is going to be hard because I have to hold myself accountable for actually studying. My goal is to find a tutor and take it slowly so I only have to take it once.

4. Finalize graduation plans

Lastly, I have to decide when I am going to graduate and how. The classes I am taking have to line up nicely so I can ensure I enter law school in the fall. This just requires prayer and planning. I am so excited because this will give me something to work towards.

I am committing these goals to the Lord because I know without Him they are impossible. These are more than just “new years resolutions”. When we bring the Lord into these things we are able to achieve them if they align with His will. I do not want these to be goals I set and forget about by February. I am sharing them here so my friends can all hold me accountable and help me reach them. 2022 will be another crazy year but I am certain that the Lord has amazing plans for everyone and His will will* be done.

*That was so weird to type because of how it looks but the way it reads is correct. Y’all know what I am talking about though.
