New Friends

Inspired Read: haven’t read any new books but, the “Friends” theme song has been stuck in my head!

I am so happy with this answered prayer from the Lord! Since being in San Antonio I haven’t found any friends. Life has felt like that movie Groundhog Day where I do the same thing every day, every week for the past couple of months. While UTSA can be a lively campus, when you have no one to share those experiences with you can feel down.

One of my friends from high school took me to a bible study and since then we have made the coolest friends. Each girl is so different and has the most unique personality. Because everyone has different interests we're all pushing each other out of our comfort zones, which is scary but refreshing. Somedays we choose to be one with nature, while on others we stay in and watch a movie. Either way, it is always fun and a great time. They have shown me some really great spots in SA, where we just look at the beautiful skyline and talk. The great thing about placing Christ at the center of your relationships is that there is so much more fulfillment. No drama, no second-guessing, you always have a person to rely on. I can’t wait to see where else the Lord takes me, and hopefully, these girls are there for the ride. :)
